About online play
Play chess with a friend on another device using a room code. The server checks every move is legal. Online play is optional and needs a room code shared between friends. There is no chat and nothing can be typed to another player — only quick emoji reactions from a fixed list. Online, every player appears under a nickname the game makes up (never a typed name).
Permissions
Internet (online play only) and Vibrate (little buzzes you can switch off in Settings). No camera, microphone, location, contacts or files.

The "More games" page links to our other games on Google Play and helpivy.com. It opens only after a grown-up answers a maths question.
Children
ChessQuest is made for children aged 4 and up. Because it collects no personal information, there is nothing for a parent to consent to, and it was built with COPPA and the UK/EU children's privacy rules in mind.
Deleting data
Use Reset in the game's Settings, or uninstall the app, to remove everything it saved on the device. Online rooms delete themselves; email us a room code if you want one removed sooner.
